My old phone let me assign "no ring" to a Contact, but I can't figure out how to do this on the Sanding Stratosphere. Can anyone help? Thank you!!!
That should say Samsung Stratosphere.
You should still have this (or similar) option. Go to change the ringtone for the contact and (probably at the top of the list) there should be a "ringtone" called silent. I know I've had this option on other Android phones, not sure about the Stratosphere specifically.
It doesn't have that option.
DO you never want talk to that contact? If that'd the case I'd just block 'em in "my Verizon".. failing that I've seen some "silent' ringtones on zedge..

I can't tell from the manual if you can send an contact directly to voicemail with the TouchWiz UI on the Stratosphere. Page 45 of the manual mentions the option to select a ringtone to the contact. It might only be "phone" contacts. Samsung wrote out the option for the Google contacts. Try pressing the menu button which in the edit mode for the contact. It might be buries after there.

Thanks for your help Ann154, but I still can't do it. This seems like a no brainer...can't believe Samsung missed having a "no ring" option for phone contacts!!
Trying to keep the hubby from catching the boyfriend calling, huh? I think you're out of luck.
