Original Droid Not compatable with Backup assistant.

I recently upgraded from my original Droid to an HTC ReZound. When trying to setup Backup assistant it tells me that the original droid is not compatable & I would have to setup a .CSV file to transfer contacts by email. Contacts I'm not so worried about. My issue is with the apps,games that I have stored on the Sim that I have progress on that I don't want to lose. How would I transfer that?

Backup Assistant is not and never has been intended to transfer app and data between phones.  It was for contact information only.  If you had saved all your contact as Google contacts then all you need to do is sign into your new android phone with the same gmail address and password. You may also find that the application installed on the Droid1 will be automatically installed on the HTC Rezound. The data within the apps are not likely to come with.

Also there is not a SIM card on the Droid. There is a SD card.

It some way it might be a good idea to have the apps automatically installed. You might end up with app conflicts on the new phone.  It is better to install one or two apps at a time and make sure they work for you on the new phone.
