I am eligable for my upgrade and want to get a smartphone. I am choosing betweed a Droid 4 or the IPhone. Any help to pick one?
You really need to go to a store, tell the rep to leave ya alone and play with both. Asking all of us you will get a split among the iPhone believers and Android followers.
One big difference, the Droid 4 is a 4G phone. The iPhone is only a 3G device.
In addition, the D4 has a full slide-out keyboard and a bigger screen. Keep in mind that there are a lot of Android devices to choose from that will all function similar.
Edit: I also just remembered, the price on the Rezound just dropped to $99 online with a new 2year contract. In my experience, it's a great phone, but may be a little big for some.
If you only use your phone for a phone/texting/facebook, you would be happy with either one. Its just a different style for the most part. If you love apple products nothing i could tell you will convince you to get the droid.All i can say is i walked into a VZW store to buy a iPhone 3 years ago and i am on my second Android phone and i couldn't be happier (Droid and Thunderbolt)
Wait, I thought that the iphone wasn't available from Verizon Wireless three years ago?
That's probably why he ended up with a Droid (though, technically, that only came out about 2 1/2 years ago). Same thing happened with me, so glad they DIDN'T have an iPhone then, i never would have known better.

Pros
-Great with media
-Great reputation
-Extremely responsive touch screen
-Extra benefits for jailbreaking (Cydia)
-Great camera
-Awesome apps
Cons
-Email and Web access are atrocious
-Navigation is horrible
Droid 4:
-Awesome email and web capabilities
-Awesome navigation
-Great apps
-Full qwerty keyboard
-Larger screen
-4G speeds
-Not as great with various forms of media
-Not compatible with iTunes videos
-No Ice Cream Sandwich (minor complaint)
If you want stellar functionality, the Droid 4 is the way to go. If your primary focus is media, then the iPhone is the obvious choice.
