Droid Razar froze up... Just says DROID on the screen? What to do...

My Razar just froze up ... I tried to use an app and all of a sudden my phone froze up... It wont turn on or off it just stays lit up with droid on the screen... The crappy thing is you cant do a battery pull and I dont know what else to do.. Can somebody please help

Do a Soft Reset: Here is How..

Soft Reset - DROID RAZR / RAZR MAXX by MOTOROLA

A soft reset is the most useful tool for resolving a variety of issues. In most cases, a soft reset will not affect data on the device, unless the battery is very low.

Press and hold volume down key then press and hold the power button until the device powers off then release.

@PJP12, were you able to perform the soft reset as B33 suggested? This should have restored the screen on your phone.

May I ask what app you were using when the phone froze? If it was a third party app you may want to consider removing it if it is causing the phone to freeze.

Hi. Sorry I'm cutting in the middle. I had the same problem with PJP12. What was worse was that the screen blacked out and I had absolutely no idea what was showing when it blacked out. I thought the phone died for a second. But then, I received some text messages with notify sound. But I couldn't get the screen back up. And as PJP12 said, the battery is built in and I couldn't take it out. B33, your suggestion finally helped me. Thank you very much. I have to say that ever since the update about 2 weeks ago, my phone freezes 3 or 4 times A DAY. It is the biggest piece of shit. I wish to return this and get another if I can.

Yea i understand your Frustration: What this OS has turned some of the phones into: My Niece's Husband has a Sprint Galaxy SII Epic Touch i think that's it and he said this OS turned what was in his mind a Good phone in piece of Crap he Further went on say the Screen that was Cracked 4 months ago doesn't even comepale to what he has to put up with the OS he Said if he could Finish it off he Would = put it out of it's Misery he would..
