battery???

I have the 4G LTG Lucid and went to plug it in to my car charger for about 25 minutes, unplugged it, and it was very hot and died on me. Is this common? Now it won't turn on or charge at all?? Will I need a new battery? I just bought the phone brand new about a 6 weeks ago.

Put it on your home charger and see if you can power it on.. sounds bad though
