I'm trying to backup all of my contacts but it's only backing up 7 of the contacts. Has anyone experienced this?
Backup Assistant will only backup contacts saved as phone/BA contacts. All the contacts saved as Google contacts are saved to the cloud and will not be backed up by the Verizon Wireless Backup Assistant.
Let me chime in and say thanks, Ann. I've never used Backup Assistant, but I'm about to go traveling abroad and have gotten a Blackberry as a loaner. VZW reps have told me to use BA to back up all my contacts so they can transfer to the BB. Oops! I have them all on Google, not the phone or BA. I think there may be a way to sync the BB with Google. If not, I really will only need a couple of contacts, and can add them on the BB by hand as easily as duplicating them for BA.
From the BlackBerry browser, go to m.google.com/sync. This will let you sync your Google contacts and calendar to the BB. I've done this on a couple of BlackBerry devices and it works well.
Thanks, Sydney! That's exactly what I need to do. I'll only be gone a few days, but it will be good to have as much of my info synced as possible.
