Just some observations

Well I switched my Galaxy Nexus out for the Droid RAZR due to major issues with the Nexus. I must say I really miss ice cream sandwhich and the fact that the Nexus had only two pre-installed programs. The RAZR, while, at least I can make a call, does not really impress at this point. I have noticed some minor bugs that should not exist.

1. When I download pics to my SD card, they do not show up in the gallery until the phone has been turned off and back on again.

2. Sometimes when I restart the phone, my settings do not show up and I have to do a restart to get them back.

3. When the phone is plugged into the charger, it runs very slow and even texting is difficult.

4. I do not like the fact that you can't get to the battery in this device to do a battery pull.

While I did not have a choice but to switch so I could have a phone that works, I am slightly underwhelmed after having the Galaxy Nexus. I wish I would have just kept my Droid X and never tried to upgrade. Now my biggest fear is that the RAZR will get updated with ICS and the software problems will ruin the call capability of this phone as well.

Usually that is a application that is set to update or run when plugged in, I had a battery meter that would freeze my device as long as it was charging but worked perfect when unplugged, removed app and problem was resolved so you may want to check apps loads when plugged in... #2. For example, on the screen where you can place your favs in the boxes so you can get to them quickly. Often when I start the phone, the boxes are empty. When I attempt to put them back, it will show them all checked off, but they will not appear on the screen.

#1. While I appreciate the suggestion, this is my point, why should I have to download another program for my 300.00 phone to work? Don't get me wrong, I download apps, but its not usually becuase something doesn't work, just because I like it better. I will look into the QuickPic though. Thanks.

At least these are cosmetic issues and I can actually use the phone, which is more than I an say for the Galaxy Nexus.

No software is perfect and situations does happens, the issue you reported was a bug for the Droid X and we usually had to restart or clear data to get images to show... Basically the applications refresh rate was misconfiguration and it sounds like Android carried this bug to ICS build.

I understand what you mean but this happens when OS are being spit out like a sour jawbreaker... If you want the latest greatest this is the price that you may have to live with until they work things out.

Also have you verified your apps as ICS compatible because there has been reports of a number of user having issues due to unsupported apps?

My current phone is not ICS. The Nexus was ICS and numerous people have the same issue and have changed phones or are just sticking it out to see if a fix comes any time soon. Read the Nexus forum if you would like more info on it.
