Pantech Breakout MMSing

Okay, here's the problem. I have a Pantech Breakout Android. I am always texting my friends, so i asked everyone for pictures. I live in extended network, and it requires me to have my DATA roaming on apparently (unless 'download currently available. Please try again later." Speech is actually something other than not having data roaming on). My family doesn't even have a data plan, and yet they are getting MMS every week or so, and downloading. I wish to know how this is affecting me... and how can I fix it? (I'd like every possible solution..)

Also, there was an update while i was in the Verizon 4G network, but it errored trying to install, so idk if that's a problem... but I can't fix that anytime soon.

Oh, and now it won't let me send pictures to people, either. So it'd be lovely if someone could please help.... soon

Since you mention living in an extended network area, that might be part of the problem with the Breakout 4G LTE phone.

Please verify that you have both the data enabled and the data roaming. As well as having your phone is set to CDMA only mode instead of LTE/CDMA mode.

You might not be able to download the attachments in text messages while in an extended area. Hopefully a VZW employee will be able to respond in a few days and have some additional advice.

Have you tried calling customer service from another phone and seeing if the tech support can help you get the phone to download the attachments?

While I live in Extended network, its using 10MB per picture (or something to that extent) To download the attachments from MMS. (Why, exactly is it using my data so much?) I'll try the CDMA mode though, thank you.

Forgillas, I can certainly assist with your MMS. Are you still having this issue? Are you unable to send and receive MMS at all or only when you turn on data roaming? Also, picture messaging should not use that much data. You can view the size of the picture by going to the properties of the picture. You may have other programs running or syncing in the background.
