"Water" live wallpaper

A couple of my friends have Android phones with a live wallpaper called "Water." It's the one that looks like a pond with leaves floating on it, and you can touch the "water" and make it ripple. It is unbelievably cook, and the first time I saw it was the moment I decided I wanted an Android. I know, superficial and all, but still....

Ever since I got my Samsung Stratosphere last fall I've been trying to find this live wallpaper, and it doesn't seem to be available in the Google Play store. I think it comes stock on HTC phones, at least some of them. I've looked a bit online and not been able to find it (though I did find links to a live wallpaper package that, if it installed at all, would overwrite all my live wallpapers, which I don't want).

This seems like what the customizability of Android phones is all about. So does anybody here know where or how I could get this lovely wallpaper?

You might want to check the other android sites like androidcentral or others an see if there is a way to sideload the apk file.

Might be a good idea. This seems like it ought to be so simple, but maybe it's part of the HTC UI, and therefore, as they say, "not sold in stores."

So it's not under live wallpapers? Remember having it on the Fascinate I had which was also made by samsung

I've searched live wallpapers repeatedly on the Play store. There are various wallpapers that have ripple effects or water effects of one kind or another, but not this one. If anyone can point me to it, though, I'll be grateful!

Dave you think that is Pretty an it is Another very well thought out designed an is a wallpaper any one could enjoy especially Kids is KOI Live Wallpaper by KITTEHFACE SOFTWARE they have put some good updates out on this wallpaper an the Fish are as real as Can Be U can Feed them an even when touch the Water Scoot them along Just like in the Real i got the Paid Version Dave give this a Look i think you'll like it..b33 :smileyhappy:

I had a signed copy of that wallpaper but I have to dig it back out...

This is a stock "out of the box" live wall paper. Almost every cell phone has a certain amount of live wallpaper preinstalled. The Water is just one of them It has come stock on my Droid X, my Droid 2, my LG Spectrum and now is on my Razr Maxx. I believe if you press on the Menu key that Wallpaper should be one of the choices. Tap on that and then tap on Live Wallpaper. Scroll down to the bottom. The one you are looking for is called "Water." It has the leaves floating around, and if you tap the screen, there is a ripple effect. Have fun.

Nope. I seem to have stumbled onto one of a small number of Android phones that don't come with "Water" as one of their stock live wallpapers. Filtering out ones that I've downloaded, the stock live wallpapers on the Stratosphere seem to be Galaxy, Grass, Microbes, Nexus, Ocean weather, and Windy weather. No Water. Out of these, only Grass is even remotely interesting to me. Brother. LIFE S***S! VERIZON STINKS! SAMSUNG IS A FRAUD! Oh no, wait, it's only wallpaper....

I just checked through my apks and also link history and I just relieved I was thinking about a different water, try Ocean Wave from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=719452 also there is a few other located at the site that you may like and they can be installed like regular apks..

. That's a pretty one, but not the one we're talking about. Where did you find this one. Going off subject, I want to warn everyone using Windows to be careful if you download Windows 8. It will also give you Internet Explorer 10. They say that this new IE is intuitive. So isn't jumping off a high rise building. With 10, I can not reply. Luckily, Opera works. Outside of the IE 10 quirks, Windows 8 is okay. Sorry I skipped subjects, but I thought that I would warn all of you.

Are you good at Computer?

You can download Android ADK tools. first

Use ADB tools from Android ADK to pull that "water" live paper from your Friends android phone

and then install it on your device..

This is a brief step, you can google

how to pull apks from android device.

Thanks. I am pretty good with computers, so this is something I'll look into, assuming it doesn't require doing anything that would void anyone's warranty.

Problem is there doesn't seem to be one single apk for the Water live wallpaper. Looks like there's a Live Wallpapers.apk that contains them all and not sure there's a way to get it without "voiding" the warranty and overwriting the default live wallpapers.

Right, those are my concerns. Well, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. Maybe when the Stratosphere gets Ice Cream Sandwich it'll get Water.
