Can you disable camera from the lock screen of Droid 4?
I don't know how, but sometimes the camera gets activated while the phone is in my pocket.

I know it can be inconvenient if your camera is accessed unintentionally. The camera function is built in to your unlock feature on your home screen and cannot be removed. You can however; establish a different unlock procedure such as a pin, passcode or pattern. I have included additional information below.
