Android VS. IPhone 4?

I was looking for some feedback regarding Android Vs. iPhone 4? I have been having lots of technical issues with my droid X for the last couple of months, but overall am pleased with the phone and android platform. I am considering the iPhone because of the "face time" app, or web chat capability of the iPhone.

Is there an android phone or app for android that has facetime ability or program similar to it?

I don't see it's possible for the droid x, am I correct there?

I tether the internet from my android to computer frequently and have no complaints as far as speed for intenet downloads.
Can you tether the internet on the iPhone 4 as easy as you can on Android?

Does anyone have any further comments or experiences on Android pros/cons VS iPhone platform?

I appreciate any all comments and information you can share.

You need a front-facing camera to do video calling. I don't think the Droid X has a front facing camera. If it does you can download the Skype app for video calling.

As jrh4054 stated, since there isn't a front camera about the only way you could do a facetime/skype deal would be with a mirror(which *I* personally would do before I bought an iPhoney lol.

Seriously though, they are tough to compare. If you are due for an upgrade I'd reccomend looking into the Razr Maxx or something along those lines.
What sorts of issues are you having with your X? I loved mine when I had it.

Well iPhone vs. Android doesn't compute well... Has to be iPhone 4 vs. A specific Android device like the Droid Razr, Galaxy Nexus, or HTC Rezound for example. Or iOS vs. Android

With the iPhone and Face Time you are stuck talking with iDevices. With ALL Android devices there is Hangouts(which is a cross between iMessages and Facetime with multi user support) and Google Talk(which is like iMessages and FaceTime put together). In order to talk cross platform you need to use something like Skype or Oovoo.

What you really need to do is ask yourself is exactly who are you going to be talking to and what devices do they have and what would be best for me to have to talk to them.

, technically, even with a mirror, a videochat on an Android device without a front facing camera is not possible, even with a third party videochat app (like Tango, Fring, ooVoo, Skype, etc.)

I can say this from experience because back when I had my HTC Eris (which I still use time by time, just not on the Verizon network, just WiFi), which doesn't have a front facing camera, the videochat features refused to work due to lack of a front facing camera (I got an error every time I attempted)

Therefore an Android with a front facing camera or an iPhone 4 or 4s in order to videochat, and in order to videochat between an iPhone 4(s), either a third party videochat app (like the ones listed above) or a gtalk based videochat app for the iPhone with videochat support (like vtok)
