Discount for upgrading from 3G to 4G

On Android Central, there are folks claiming a $100 discount on the Verizon Galaxy S3 preorders due to upgrading their device from 3G to 4G.  I'm currently on a dying Droid2 (not the international one), but the only discount I'm seeing for a preorder is basically a waiver of the upgrade fee ($30 "loyalty discount" that gets cancelled by the $30 "loyalty penalty") The only promotion I'm seeing like that here is the Dads & Grads thing, which is limited to Motorola devices.  I did hear that the discount doesn't pop up till somewhere in the preordering process, but I haven't had any luck online, over the phone, or through the online "talk to an agent" thing.  Anyone here seen anything about this or have any tips for how to claim the discount?

I preordered the SGSIII in person at my local store this past weekend and I was fortunate enough to get the $100 discount upon upgrading. The receipt that was printed out didn't show the discount, but upon checking my confirmation email minutes later, the discount came up as the New Every Two discount. I know that there was a cutoff date for the New Every Two program like a year or two ago but i guess I had upgraded my now currently used plan before the cutoff date, and got to keep my NE2 discount.
