Hey,

I have a Motorola Droid 3 and to reset my device, I tap the Menu button on the bottom left. I then select Settings. From there, I go to Privacy and select factory data reset. Your phone will be reset back to its original factory settings. Make sure you back up your contacts and calendar stuff to your Google calendar so you can later download them again to your phone. Any purchaces from Google Play will be there later for you to download again.

i have an htc droid 2. doesn't work like that but thanks for your time.

Try looking under the SD card and storage option in the Settings.

If it is not there, the instructions should be in the online user manual.

Hi, Evelyn,

For the HTC Droid 2, to perform a hard reset, do the following:

Power off the device, take the battery out from the device and reinsert back again.
Hold the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON then Press and hold the POWER BUTTON until the device turns on.
Wait until Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock menu appears.
Pick Clear Storage Using Volume Down button
Press and release the Power button
Select: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for No
