Google+ running for 45 minutes

Last night and again today I got a popup on my Droid X2 stating: "Google+ has been running for 45 minutes and consuming battery resources. Would you like to end the app?" Last night the phone was pretty warm and had consumers about 50% of my extended battery before I noticed it. Both times I stopped the app and rebooted the phone. Has anyone else seen this behavior and error message? google plus task.jpg

I have never seen a message like that. Have you checked the settings in the app to see if there is something you can change and see if it helps?

No settings that I can find. It hasn't happened in a day and I have used Google+ several times. I'll just keep an eye on it. Might have just been a fluke.

I may have a clue of what could have happened. I had my photos set to automatically upload to Google+ and if something happens and they do no get uploaded (or all of them) then I get a "sync symbol" that appears in the status bar. It stays there until they are uploaded or until I kill the process. I have set photos to not automatically upload to Google+ and all appears OK, at least for now.

I had wondered if it was the photo upload, but wasn't sure if I could suggest it. I do have that feature turned off on in Google+ on my devices.
