I have the iPhone 4S, and even after I turned off the cellular data (which should turn off 3G), I recieved a txt from verizon 3 days after the billing cycle started over again saying I had exceeded my 2 gig data plan in 2 days (with me having wifi pretty much the entire time). Last month, I supposedly used 14 gigs, after turning the cellular data off halfway through the month. I rarely use 3G except for Facebook occasionally. The rest of the time, like I said, I'm connected to wifi. This is a very stressful, annoying, and expensive screw up that is pissing me, and my parents off. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have no idea what you are doing that would use 14GB?!? My daughter has the iPhone 4 and uses 1 GB or less a month... NetFlix? Pandora? Are you sure you are using the wi-fi only? That's a huge amount of data....

I have a 4G phone and I have never gone over 6 GB per month yet. I can only think that there is a lot of steaming of data to use 14 GB.

Are you possibly backing up to the Cloud when you sync, or to your computer's hard drive. If it is to the Cloud, this could explain a large portion of your data usage.

Well I would say facebook app does kill Alittle with the notifications etc. anything with notification. iCloud I noticed does kill lot. Did you do the last update I noticed safe after download to upload did use some. Do you have your phone on all the time. Do you have location on all the time. Siri and imessageing. Those are something's.

My dad never goes over 9gig but that's hard to do. He use gps all the time and web browsing. Updateing apps when needed to. Nfl mobile.
