I just got back my iPhone 4 - Black from Geek Squad at Best Buy, and there is only one single problem: I do not have service. It only appear the signal and wi fi icons, how can I activate my phone? Please answer as soon as you can!

Mine is doing the same thing. It says I need a SIM card, but Verizon iphone 4 phones don't have a SIM card. I'm totally lost.

Yes I activated it on Verizon online, but when I have to dial *228 I cannot because I am stuck on the page telling me to insert a SIM card. But the Verizon iphone 4 does not have a SIM card, or a slot for it either. It is a dud phone?

Interesting Jabs83b! If this is your original phone, it should work without this error for SIM card. Did you have another phone activated temporarily while this one was being fixed? I purchased this phone refurbished, as my other phone is broken and asurion
denied my claim. I don't have another phone that works. But, I did talk
to Verizon yesterday and it seems there is something wrong with the actual
phone, so I am returning it and will be receiving a different one.
