Is Rebate a scam?

Is anyone else having trouble getting their rebate card? I sent my trade in to them in September, and still have not recieved my $100 rebate card. I have called no less than 12 times over the past five months, yet was told I wouldn't receive it because I hadn't followed up on it. This billion dollar company will not even return my phone calls from yesterday over a lousy $100 rebate. My average bill each month is $190.00 and I have had service for over 6 years with them, and they won't even return my call now. I am going to drop my service it this is not resolved today.

Yes, we have the same problem! Like you, I applied for the rebate last September, 2011. Never received the card.

I called again in January 2012, and was told that I'd receive the $100.00 in 6 to 8 weeks.

Now it's the 9th of March and I called again, today. The Rep told me it was emailed on January 10th, and to be sure to check my spam account. I double checked, but seem to have every other correspondence from them! Now the Rep today told me that he doesn't know if I will get a card, or an email rebate, but if its an email I should have it within 24 hrs.

This is REALLY bothering me now. At least they haven't told us that they are not honoring it, like some other people. I wonder if they count on people forgetting about these.

I have also had trouble with getting my iphone rebate. I switched from ATT and my wife had a verizon phone. we got a family plan. We were told by employee at Verizon store that we would get an email with form to send in with our old phones. This never arrived and now when I called for the 3rd time to follow up, we were told rebate offer expired. Verizon service is so much worse that ATT was. Long wait times on phone, people who are not empower to help, or don't know what they are doing. In sum, Verizon is cheating us out of 400 dollars of rebate they promised when we bought our phones. Learned my lesson....
