Sim Cards Installments Don't Touch that Gold!..

I have heard many people saying there having issues with there 4G devices for different Things. An this is one of things that might be Causing issues with the phones. We all have Static Electricity in our Bodies an one Touch to that Sim could trigger the issue. I had a Rep tell me at one of the local stores We touch them all the time. Well that Dude needs to read up on the consequences of what static electricity can do to Sensitive conductors. That Sim may not be a conductor but the stuff on it can wiped out just like the Info on a Credit Card. So the Input for the Day is if your getting a shiny new 4G phone Make sure the Rep that installs the Sim Card doesn't touch the Gold area an if you are getting it from FedEx read the little Pamphlet that comes with the Sim as it will Tell You Do Not Touch the Gold Area of the Sim Card. True, also your fingers have an acidic tip which can also ruin the gold coating. The same holds true with SD cards.

That's really hard with the new mini sim cards in the new Motorola droids.

I think they are called micro SIM cards. Also there are other 4G LTE phones that use the micro SIM size besides Motorola.

Your right spurs they are Very hard to handle an to take out of the Holder what i did when i installed mine into my Maxx. Is i used a Hobbie Knife or X-Acto with a No.11 blade with it's very sharp an Very small profile edge at the End of it. If you are very careful you can cut thru those tabs that hold it in there. Once i did that i took the Sim by it's edges an inserted into the Maxx an pushed it in as far as i could go but with the Little Door in the Way an the small Area i ended up using a Wood Tooth Pick cut to wear it had a flat blunt Edge an i was Able to push it in to wear the spring Mechanism Catch & Locked the Sim into it.

Those are the only ones I know of on vzw with micro sim cards. Whatever they're called they are still difficult to insert in the phone without touching the contacts.

The Galaxy Nexus uses a micro SIM card. The HTC Rezound might also.
