Moving contacts. SD or SIM

Since the Pantech 4G has extremely limited internal RAM (376MB) much of which is filled with non-removable apps I am always looking to move stuff off to the the SD card. I noticed that my contacts can be moved to either the SD card or the SIM card. What are the pros and cons to each?

The applications and contacts are stored on the internal storage and not the RAM portion. Even if you do move your contacts to the SIM or the SD card, they are really just copies. The contacts will still be saved to the internal storage.
