Why does my droid 3 have trouble turning on

I have been having troubles with my droid 3 for months now, it first started with not being able to send/recieve multimedia messages then it started re-booting and now barely will turn on and if it actually does turn on it wont stay on for longer then a few minutes before it over heats and shuts down. Also I have a hard time even charging them phone. I am using my wifes old phone now but really would like some help with this.

Sorry to hear about your problem with your Droid 3.  Try removing the back cover and removing the battery for about a minute.  Then, put it back in and reattach the rear cover.  Now restart the phone and see if it works better and will charge better.  Also, if you are charging, make sure you charge from a electrical wall outlet, not from a USB port on a computer.  Let me know if this fixes your problem.
