Note: according to several comments on that linked site, the update is only for Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich.
Looks like Verizon Galaxy Owner an other I.C.S. Owners will be the only ones to get to enjoy it Dave O well maybe Since New Updates are spurting up every ware maybe it will put ones like me an my Maxx a step Closer to I.C.S..
the funny thing to me is that they have to use a generic car dock/mount in the commercial since they STILL haven't released an actual car dock for the nexus. looks pretty cool, but how can they shoot that ad with NO real dock?
Yea that is Comical AZSALUKI An i guess as it Goes an i think it happened with Gingerbread too there was only one or two phones that had Ginger on it while other Devices had to Wait! To Me Google is Putting One Phone First while the others have to Trail it like little Ducks..To me they should treat all the phones as equal.. But that's just my opinion
Dave i done some more Digging on this with the Maps an when i was on Engadget Mobile i ran across the Article an One of posters that Commented on it said it Would Work with other Devices! So maybe we can try it an hopefully it will work.. Here's the the Link to the Article an Below you can find his Comments. B33

Downloaded on my Test Phone i am Calling it = Droid X An the Download went Fine an the App looks Good on it an has done so far what i have ask of it. Took a Look at the K.C. Metro an it pulled the Buildings in really good an Accurate.. I see no reason not to go ahead an down the App. At least give it a Try.. B33
i updated it and it is now different than my previous version. my nav home screen doesn't "look" just like the home screen in the article, but it has the same features and options so i guess it worked????
Yea AZSALUKI with these updates its kind of trial a error an hope it works i know some apps work well on the X an Maxy but there are ones that i have to pull off of them because they consume the battery or just bog em down. There's one on my X that i'm going to pull Very soon it a app that shows were the Networks are. Sensorly is the app it's consumes Quite a Bit the other one is Real HDMI the other apps are a little more tamer...

The images in the article seem to match the Nexus. I have noticed that the Thunderbolt has small differences (Sense based) in how an applications appears when compared to the Nexus. The Google+ is a good example. The layout when creating a post is quite different.
Thanks, B33. I do see where a poster says that it's only some aspects of the update that are only for ICS. They also said the update had been pushed to them, and I think I'll probably also wait for the push. I'm happy with the way Maps works now, so I'll take the update when Papa Google decides I'm ready for it.
