Anyone Else With Network Connection Problems?

I finally got on by using the WiFi here at work which is almost as iffy as Verizon's network, but at least it's working for the moment. I can't keep a signal of any kind, 4G, 3G, or even 1x. They just pop up for about 15 to 30 seconds then drop out again. All I get from every site I try to navigate to is a can't find server message. I've tried restarting, pulling the battery and SIM with no luck.

I have a Rezound which is usually pretty reliable. Is anyone else having problems?

At the time when you posted your question, I wasn't having any issues that I know of. My phone was in a 3G only area and in CDMA mode. I could hear it chirping at me for messages while I was working on a project.

Thanks Ann. Usually a lack of response tells me it's something happening in my area. The connection seems to be getting better, so maybe they were working on the network.

Hi - I own a Samsung Stratosphere, which I have had since mid January. I am on travel and used it the other day to locate a service station. It worked fine.

Suddenly, on Friday Tallahassee, my phone could not "find" a server or so it says. To that end, my phone is unable to download my email, or news updates, or for that matter, anything else needing to connect to a WiFi thing.

My calls and texts come through fine.

I am incredibly frustrated, as we bought this phone to use on this trip.

Might I have touched something to shut off server connections? I thought that I should be able to get information from the internet while on the road - it was fine untill Tallahassee - I would think there should be connections in cities? No? Currently in Orlando, I am frustrated....

Any thoughts would be most helpful.

Since I have a different phone from another manufacturer, I'm not sure how much I can help, but I get those unable to connect to server messages when I've lost my network connection for some reason. As far as something you might have done, you can double check your settings. Are you using the phone itself for connecting to the internet, or are you using it to tether to a laptop? Sometimes I have trouble with the mobile hotspot while tethered to my laptop, but I can connect fine using the phone. Check in your settings to make sure you have Mobile network checked and it says connected. Also check Mobile networks just beneath where you turn on Mobile network to see what network mode you are on. CDMA only will only connect to 3G. LTE/CDMA should switch between 4G and 3G if there is a 4G connection available. Do you know for sure that you are in a good network coverage area?

Thanks you for your kind reply. I am pretty sure I am connected as I should be; however, according to my phone, I am currently connected to our Verizon internet that is right here in the Rv..

I am 6 miles from DisneyWorld in Orlando..should I not have good network coverage here?

My experience has been that when we turn the Verizon off, which we do when we aren't online, to save money, I lose my connection on my phone.

If I cannot get it to work, w/out the Verizon, when I get a chance to get to a Verizon store, I will and have them check it. Hoping your suggestions will help. Getting off the net now, so will check back again later for other responses.

Taking it to a Verizon store is a good idea. Sometimes it's easier if you can get your hands on it. It may be something simple like needing a new SIM card or changing a setting.
