I had two POP email accounts set up on my Galaxy SII working just fine. I then set up the Exchange server from the office, and after that, the POP accounts were rendered inoperative. I deleted those accounts and tried to re-create. I can get past the incoming server information, albeit by using the entire username@comcast.net in the UID field, but the phone cannot connect at all to the SMTP outgoing server.
again, it all worked just fine prior to the Exchange email link. My IT assures me that there are no security policies that the Exchange profiles set on the phone to dis-allow POP or SMTP mail.
Ideas anyone?
