Bionic Data connection

I have a Bionic replacing the first Droid X which was working fine for the most part. the first week with the bionic no issues. Over the weekend it seems my data service doesn't work as it did with the Droid. through out my day i am unable to search the net, recive facebook messages or anything that requires the data service. Once i go into an area with 4Glte i get all my messages and alerts. do i need to change a setting or am i screwed with a phone that doesn't work in my area?

It is my understanding that a 3g only setting may be used. I do not know if this will solve you problems.

i am guessing so but how do you change it to work only as a 3G. my Droid X worked fine everywhere out here. My wifes Charge and the Bionic constanly loses data connection but i can recieve phone calls but can't get on the net, social media, check accounts, or use the navigation...

Select apps, wireless network, mobile network, then select your network mode as cdma only.
