I just bought the Stratosphere 2 days ago and it was fine, but then this morning I couldn't get a 3G or 4G connection. I took it to the Verizon Wireless store I bought it from and they did a few things to it, and it was spotty. Lady came back and told me that the service was down in the area. Ok, so I went home and called Verizon Wireless and talked to a person on the phone and she had me go through alot, took out the battery and the card, put it back in...ect. In the end she told me that the service that was out was for business accounts and that mine shouldn't be down. She suggested that I go back to the store for a replacement to swap it out, which I did, and the customer service was lackluster to say the least. Anyway, he gave me the new phone, it didn't work in the store and he said that "the service was down". OK, so I went home fuming, but I don't understand why, if the service is down, and I restart the phone, do I get the 4G at the top of the phone for about 20 seconds and then it goes away never to come back, unless I restart the phone again?? I have only had it for 2 days and I'm regretting my purchase and foresee just returning it, paying the restocking fee, and moving on to a non-contract phone with another company. Anyone else have a similar problem? It's my first smart phone too. Not good!
