My phone turned black and i can't turn it on or off?
Mine did the same thing and I went to the store. Press the volume up and down buttons at the same time along with the power button, and a menu should come up. From there you can reboot the phone.
Mine came from Verizon black when I wanted a white one so now I'm screwed too.
Mine just did the same thing this morning and I just tried to press the volume and power together and got nothing. I called myself and it went to voice mail. Any other thoughts?
I just did as suggested, puched down both the volume buttons and the power button for about 7 or 8 seconds and it came back on.

Plug in your phone and wait about 2 hours and let it charge up Droid razr giving false battery reading your phone is dead take it off charge and then press the power button
It's the Power and Volume Down buttons you need to press, for about 10 seconds. That forces a reboot.
If that doesn't work, put it on the charger for an hour or two and try again. It may take a few tries.
this just happened to me today and i put in a post under " . . . razr maxx no longer functional" but after reading this one, i tried it and it did work; the battery reading showed as depleted when before it went off it was at like 80% charged. any ideas why this happened?
thank you! my phone was "dead" this morning and I thought the battery was the problem. I rebooted as you said and it restarted. (I think I might have pressed two buttons at the same time when I turned off the screens last night... don't know for sure)
