LG Ally Blue status light & phone won't turn on

My LG Ally recently froze (was looking up contact and everything froze) it wouldn't power off so I removed the battery (a pretty new one - 1 week). When I reinstalled, I received a msg to put in genuine battery then the status light turned blue - after removing and reinserting the battery, the status light remains blue the phone will not do anything! Help!!! any suggestions

I regret to learn that this is happening with your phone! Have you been able to use the phone since posting? I would recommend trying again to remove and reattach the battery in the phone. I would also recommend trying to use the phone with the charger plugged in to see if that makes a difference (Please try it with the battery in the phone, and also when the battery is not in the phone). My LG Vortex is doing something similar. If my phone shuts off, i will power it back on again and it will say use genuine battery. I cannot use my phone with the charger because the phone will not power on. I will not be buying a new battery because this is the same battery i received with this phone a year ago. I have not gotten it wet but the moisture indicator is activated... every single time i get the phone to power up it will be sluggish and laggy.
