upgrade now or wait?

i currently have a droid x, im eligible for upgrade and was considering the razr maxx. i wanted to wait for the droid fighter but lately i haven't heard anything new about it so i don't know how far away it is now to even being released. anyone know when quad cores are coming out ? thing is my screen got cracked the other day and it's kind of bad but the phone is fully functional still. suggestions?

look for the droid fighter to come out in the middle or late in the month of may......

The Droid "Fighter" will not be available in the states. To bad though, would be cool to have.

I think you may be wrong sir. Supposedly the "droid fighter" is what its called in other countries, it will be called the Droid Razr Maxx HD. 720 display etc. I am also in the same situation though. i have an upgrade and im looking to get the razr max but i can wait for the maxx HD i just havent heard anything. All it says is release in 2012.

There are rumors floating around about VZW and the Samsung Galaxy S III. Supposedly it will be introduced in the United Kingdom this week. The US intro is to be sometime this summer. The S III is also rumored to have a quad core processor. If you can wait, I would. Supposedly, VZW chose the Nexus over the S II and realized that was a mistake.

I agree ris28. Verizon has use of the Droid name which would be a good indicator that the Maxx HD/Droid Fighter is coming to Verizon.

there should be a few others in late summer/early fall. i expect to see verizon's version of the galaxy s III this fall, as well as some version of the HTC One series (maybe htc one HD or something?). if you can hold out, any of these will blow away what is currently available (including the next motorolla, whatever it will be called). i have my eye on the next htc.

However, always keep in mind that today's super technology, in this case, cell phones, is tomorrow's history. There is ALWAYS something better, faster, nicer around the corner. That's life.

mortb is exactly correct. However, if you continually wait for the next best equipment to be introduced, you will never get anything. Go for the hottest now, and then do it again in two years.

2 years isn't a hop skip and a jump away......its a long time to be stuck

with a phone you dont want or to be stuck with a phone that is just getting

phased out. Honestly, the droid HD RAZR should be out some time soon

hopefully. That or the samsung S III are the next 2 out. I'm going to wait

just because my phone hasnt crapped out on me.
