Phandroid had an article a couple days ago stating that Verizon would roll out ICS for a few phones, including Razr Maxx on 4/4. Can anyone confirm?
A quick and easy Google search showed that the source of the rumor/report seems to be http://www.technobuffalo.com/companies/google/android/verizon-droid-razr-razr-maxx-ics-update-april-4-htc-rezound-april-6/. No way of knowing if it's reliable. Perhaps folks who get the update, if it happens, will report it here. But, as someone said, you'll know that you're getting it when you get it.
Right now it seems to be just a rumor. There has been no updates on the Motorola website and nothing on the Verizon website either. I'm not going to hold my breath for the update, but if it happens in the next few days it will be a nice surprise. I was supposed to get a new Razr Maxx today, and they were out of stock everywhere, so I had to order one and am now due to get it tomorrow, so maybe by the time I get my phone I will also get the update :smileyhappy:
The Update that's Rolling out to Soak Testers For the Razr and Razr Maxx is Not I.C.S. I repeat It is Not I.C.S. ...
Hi gd4me,While we have confirmed that several devices (including the Razr Maxx) will get Ice Cream Sandwich update some time in the future http://goo.gl/RhsY7 no information is available for specific or estimated release dates. Please be assured that we'll push the software update to all devices as they are released to us by the manufacturers.AntonioC_VZWSupportFollow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/vzwsupport
