MANY MANY PROBLEMS!!!!

Keypad cannot be used to enter Voicemail Password. Prompt for password just repeats then call disconnects. MAJOR DEFECT IN DROID and/or RAZR MAXX!! I have double and triple checked all the settings and all variations of all the settings, with no results. Please provide alternative answers.

Gmail does not synch to the device at all. In addition, the Google Calendar does not synch to the phone calendar. MAJOR DEFECT!!! I don't see any clear instructions on how to make this happen, and I have looked everywhere that makes sense.

I need to find a MAC address for the device since my wireless network requires it. So far, I don't see it. I see a lot of other techno-gibberish, but nothing that looks like a MAC address to me or is called MAC.

I am posting to this forum because so far all my attempts to get responses from Motorola, Verizon, and/or Google have failed and I am too frustrated to continue down those paths. Next step may have to be to return the device and cancel the contract.

I have the Motorola RAZR and my gmail does not sync automatically anymore either. When in the Inbox, I have to choose "Options" then "Refresh"! VERY frustrating indeed.

As well as my emails won't send because I can't get a 3G NOR a 4G connection.

In my case I cannot even get an Inbox. The RAZR redirects my click on the

M(ail) icon to the mail setup screen. If I then try to setup the GMail the

system tells me it is already set up. Very frustrating - but you are ahead

of me in that you at least reach the inbox. The main issue I have is that I

think I recall that it was working OK for a while and only recently started

malfunctioning. Obviously, the lame solution to this is probably to delete

the previous installation and go throught that again (which will get error

messages re the user name already exists), but so far no one has suggested

that to me. Mostly because I have not reached any human at Motorola,

Google or Verizon to discuss this and the other issues. That is why I am

starting to think my only reasonable altarnative is to cancel. out.

Go to settings > Wireless & networks > Wireless settings > turn on wifi > menu button > advanced

You should also be able to view the WiFi MAC address in the "About Phone section of the setting while the wifi radio is turned on.

Do you have background sync turned on? Is the gmail address entered into the accounts section of the settings? Check your power/data management settings to see if your background sync is not restricted and waiting for a connection to a wifi network.

I found the MAC using your instructions. Thanks.

Regarding the email I was using the red a icon to try to connect to gmail,

but the mail connectcion was enabled to the gmail icon red M. My errror -

now I can see the inbox and the list, and it probably works from

notifications too. The phone calenar and the phone task list are not the

same as the Google versions of the same and I don't yet see how to look at

the Google calendar from the phone wihtout opening the browser. If you have

or can point me to information about that it will help greatly. I learned

about the inbox by stumbling through the options including many false

attempts to "set up" the account (which was already set up but with the

other icon), so if calendar and tasks are just as easy please suggest.

I still do not see or understand the voice mail keypad - I finally saw

somewhere instructions about how to answesr the phone when the display is

locked (swipe right), but when I call voicemail there is no way to retrieve

the messages because the server/system does not 'hear' the password even

though it appears in the text box. It seems clear that there must be a way

to automate 'sending' it upon the pound sign, but that does not happen.

Please suggest or point me to a solution zone.

This started happening for me today.

All accounts no longer have sync options. You have to manually sync every single account. The circle arrow icons under the account settings shows for about 0.1 seconds and then disappears.

So the phone no longer supports push notifications; you have to do a manual sync for every email address, calendar, etc.

Not sure at all why the keypad isn't working but this is how I do my VM setupp

From any Home Screen Tap Menu-->Settings-->Call Settings-->Voicemail Settings-->in the Voicemail Number dialogue tap at the end of the *86. Put in two comma's, your PIN and then #1. Tap Ok and then try checking VM again, it should auto insert your PIN after a slight pause and play the first message.

As an example my 'Voicemail number' shows:

*86,,1234#1

(Obviously 1234 isn't my real VM PIN lol)

Thanks for this suggestion -- a realistic way to automate the key entry so

a display screen problem will not prevent. I will do this and then clearly

the problem as it applies to voicemail will go away. Kudos!!

I have the same problem so I called Verizon and let them know. It took me two calls (one week apart from another) but Verizon is sending me out a new phone.

Hopefully when I receive the new phone I won't have the issue any more.

Just got the new phone yesterday and it's like falling in love all over again. I know that I shouldn't be this happy as it is something that should have always worked but not having push notification on all three accounts was really awful.

Again, when I called the first time, I spoke to the tech help desk. They had me uninstall my email accounts and reinstall and thought that had fixed the problem. When I called the 2nd time, I spoke to a higher level tech (level 2 i think it was called) and told him the issues that I was having and he tried to run some programs on his end and he could see that there was no response on my phone and so he offered to send me a new one.
