Maybe I'm just really stupid, but where do I find my contract info on the Verizon website? I want to know if my contract is up, so I can upgrade. Please give me directions.

For upgrades, Verizon normally notifies you, and your usually able to upgrade at least 4 months before your contract is up. As far as getting the actual experation date of your contract, you have to ask Verizon.
They usually tell you your upgrade date on the Verizon website. Log into the website, and on My Verizon where it tells you the information about your phone on the left side of the screen it should give you the date you are due for an upgrade. I am due for an upgrade today, so for the longest time it said "Eligible 4/4/12" and now it says "Eligible for an upgrade!"
