gmail won't load through hot spot on Stratosphere

I'm using my Samsung Stratosphere as a hot spot. When going to most webpages everything seems pretty fast in both 3 & 4G, but when ever I try to load gmail it won't load or keeps working until I stop and refresh a few times. Is there something gmail related that is hosing up on the wireles network? It works fine on the phone itself, just when I use my laptop and phone as a hot spot. All other sites are fine. I switch to local wifi and it's all good.

Any known issues?

One main known issue with Gmail is that it sometimes quits working till you clear your browser's cache. That doesn't actually sound like it would be related to this, but it might be worth a try.
