Facebook Sync disappeared: "My Accounts" crashes with facebook account

I got the Droid 4 the day it came out and synced up my facebook contacts just fine. Recently my facebook thumbnails and phone numbers disappeared and I am not sure what happened. I have uninstalled and removed facebook and my account several times and I cannot get the sync to come back.

When I enter "Accounts" and click on my facebook account, the "My Accounts" application crashes. How can I reset/reinstall the "My Accounts" manager or make this work? It does not crash when I open my google accounts, for example.

Log out of the Facebook App

Go into your Settings Menu

Click on Accounts & Sync

Is there a 'Facebook' app listed in your Accounts & Sync Settings? if not you may have to click on Add Account & login with your credentials... That is the way that I had to do it, if I remember to get it to Sync anyone's name & number that I have stored in my phonebook...

I already tried logging in and out, deleting and re-adding the account, and removing and reinstalling the application.

On the Droid 4 there are two "facebook" accounts. One is from "My Accounts" which is supposed to hold login information, and the other comes from the facebook application itself. I cannot remove the default one, but storing my login information there seems to do nothing as it is not necessary to log into the application and it does nothing without it.

I cannot get into the facebook "Account" in My Accounts, as that crashes "My Accounts."

I am having the same problem, I also have the 2 "facebook" accounts on my Droid. I've logged in & out; uninstalled the facebook & reinstalled; uninstalled all extra apps.

I just got a warranty replacement for my Droid 4 (power port came loose - watch out for that little issue - ha) and now my Facebook sync is all screwed up. It worked fine on my original Droid 4 ... did anyone ever get any resolution on their issue?

Good Afternoon nkovrig. I know Facebook is a great way to sync your important contacts. I recommend removing the app completely from the phone and then re-download it. You should have the option to sync again once the app is downloaded. If that doesn't resolve the issue, I recommend completing a hard reset on the device. http://bit.ly/xKJYz6
