New to Verizon. I know there was an outage yesterday but I still don't have any internet. No 3G or 4G. Brand new Droid Razr. Anyone else still having issues? I'm in Gainesville, FL.
As stupid as it sounds, try a volume down + power reset. I didn't have data for the last 30 hours on my razr maxx, but this seems to have resolved it for me.
Phone on and unlocked. Hold volume down and the power button till the phone powers off - bout 10 seconds. Phone restarts.
i dont have any internet either. my went out yesterday and in live in PA
I'm in South Florida (Cooper City more precisely) and I haven't had 3G or 4G since around 5 yesterday.
In December there were 2 or 3 widespread outages of this sort that got a lot of people upset, including me (brand new phone, no data connection!). It's been better since then, but it does still seem to happen from time to time. If it persists for more than a short time, you might call Verizon tech support or a local Verizon store and see if they're aware of it. If there's an outage, the local store will also be without connection.
The story seems to be that they're still rolling out the network, there'll be problems from time to time, etc. Would have been nice if they'd told us that before we signed a contract, so we could have made a genuinely informed buying decision. I'd probably still have bought if I'd known that conditions would be as I've experienced them: generally reliable, brief outage for a few random minutes every day or so, longer outages more rarely. Hopefully it'll get better as they get the network fully set up! Otherwise, that contract does expire in two years....
I live in california and i lost my internet yesterday morning hasnt been back up sence.
New Droid Razr, no 3G or 4G since yesterday morning in Macon, GA.
I live in Harrisburg, PA and no data access since yesterday am, except when connected to wifi on my Iphone. Very frustrated.
I'm in Texas and bought a new phone two days ago and haven't had 3G or 4G since the day I bought it.
i just got my bionic friday and since yesterday i havent had any internet.
Had no data (3g or 4g) from about 7:00pm last night. Finally came back about 8:00am this morning when I arrived at work. Did multiple reboots to try and get data. I thought it might have just been a tower problem where I live... but looks to be larger based on comments here. Currently still have data, so crossing my fingers. Columbus, OH market.
I did this and now my data connection works! Let's hope it stays. :smileyhappy:

I did this an my 3g came back for about 2 minutes an went away again.
Reading all these outage notes, I'm almost embarrassed to say that I'm fine here in the suburbs of Atlanta.
Matth7's method worked to restart my Samsung Stratosphere also, although it's not documented in the User Manual. It did, however, cause it to restart in silent mode. Actually, just holding the power key for 10 seconds restarts the phone for me.
I've sometimes heard that after a brief outage a phone may need some encouragement to recover its connection (making it seem that there is still no connection available when it's really the phone not finding it). The restart method may be one way of doing that. Another, more rigorous method that VZW reps sometimes recommend is powering down the phone (hold power key, select Power off), then removing both the battery and the SIM card for a moment. Reinsert the card and the battery and power the phone back on. I think this forces the phone to search for a connection again. Just be sure to handle the SIM card with great care (a recent discussion here: https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/769364).
i tried turnin on airplane mode for 2 mins turning it off then turning the phone off, i took out the battery and sim card for a min put them back in turned the phone on, and made sure cdma lte was checked and all 3 boxex where checked under data delivery. it turned my 3g on for about 5 mins and then stopped working.
This worked for me had to do it 2 times though the first time i got 3g back but it wouldnt connect to wifi the second time i did it everything worked

When I have 2 or 3 bars on my new Razr I can't send texts, make calls nor receive calls. Just get service failed. Prior to upgrading my device to this Razr, after years of service with two other phones, I have never had this problem. So basically now when I am within 2 miles of my home my new phone is completely worthless.
Good Luck! I bought my Droid Razr about two months ago and immediately started have NO Data connections. They told me so many b.s. stories it was impossible to keep up. Finally after a week they tried a new sim card. That did nothing. So a few days later they decided to try a few things else and none of those worked. As soon as my 14 day return policy was up, which they consistently refused to discuss returning it, they said I would have to have it replaced with a REFURBISHED PHONE! I paid over $200 for this P.O.S. and over $200 in accessories on to get a refurbished phone! Guess what, it has been two months and all morning I still only get 3g or 4g when my piece of sh*t RAZR decides to give it to me.
Worst Verizon phone EVER!!!!! Verizon scammed me big time! I have spent countless hours on the phone with tech support, "super tech support" etc. Yeah, they get my phone working until they hang up! They erased my phone completely once saying it needed to be rebooted, losing all my information only to do nothing! Tech support can not help you. Holding your volume and off button will not work. Resetting your phone will not work. Getting a new sim card will not work. Replacing your junk RAZR for a refurbished junk RAZR will not work. Maybe shoving up the ass of the d*ckhead who sold it to me knowing it was a piece of sh*t will work.

Instead of restarting your phone...
I turned airplane mode on for 10 seconds then turned airplane mode off. The data connection worked after that.
It seems like every morning i wake up i lose the data connection...WIERD
To turn on/off airplane mode, hold down the power button then touch "airplane mode"
Having the same issue with my Droid Bionic I got last week. I live in Warner Robins, GA. I called customer support and they suggested the hard reboot by removing the battery and sim card. Yesterday that worked but today it won't. I once again called customer service and the suggested I return the phone and get a new phone since I am in the 14 day window. They have had this issue reported with several Bionics and requested the manufacturer provide a software patch. That update was requested in early February.
It looks like even if I switch phones the same problem seems to be occuring on other devices...hmmmm.
Same here, I wake up every morning with no data connection. Airplane mode trick didn't work for me.
