Smaller sim means more room to intergrate better hardware and a smoother device design..
Now of they can make extended batteries smaller... :-P. :-D
It is a good thing I have some nail length. Trying to avoid touching the gold contact plate is tough enough as it is. I am glad that there is a standard size now. However it does mean new SIM card adapters will be needed for some phones.
