Tether LG Cosmos VN250

I am asking this question for my parents.  They recently got the cosmos to replace their LG flip phone. When they were looking in to getting a phone the sales person on the phone said this could do everything they were doing.  I was going to set it up for them and found out that it isn't listed as being able to be tethered as a dial up modem using verizon access manager.  Does anyone know if they will add this phone or if there is a work around for it?

Unfortunately there is not a work around for it because the device itself is not capable of a 3G connection. If you look at the phone it only displays a 1X connection - never an EV connection, which is 3G. 

I'm sorry, but you will not be able to tether with this device.
