iPhone 5 & Verizon

I am 18 years old and from a lot of looking around and searching the web Verizon charges a max of $400 for a deposit (I hope that's true) but my question is when I pay the deposit do I have to pay FULL RETAIL for the phone too or do I still get the discount of 199.99 for the iPhone 5?

The deposit I understand is just that, its to insure your payment of your invoices to the carrier.

I would think you can get your iPhone at the reduced price with two year contract. please remember that you will also pay an activation fee, and a data plan fee, (Depending on plan) plus your charges for one month in advance, and any partial month depending on your start/end date of your service month.

Best way to get your question answered is to stop into a verizon company store and have them figure it out.
