Calendar on iphone and live

I just tried to set up the Iphone 5 calendar to sync with my Windows Live Email (hotmail) calendar. Whatever I put on my Live calendar shows up on the phone but not the other way around. Can someone help me so any changes I make on the IPhone will also show up on my hotmail/Live calendar? I've  set the default calendar on the phone as my Live one. Thanks.

Solved this myself. I had multiple calendars on the phone and was not entering on the correct calendar. When I unchecked all other calendars including holidays and then entered data on the default calendar, it showed up in Windows Live.
