classes 70 dollars an hour?

I have been with the local Verizon store for several years. Every time I have been to the store there are numerous people waiting on service.

Last week I was out of town on business and purchased a iPhone. Being technically challenge I went in to local store to ask about classes.

I was told since I didn't buy the phone there I would have to pay 35 dollars for one half hour. Is this possible. I am thinking about returning it.

Corporate stores offer classes free of charge. Did you purchase the phone at a discount in exchange for signing a new 2yr contract? If so, the $30 upgrade fee is supposed to be for things like these classes.

I would make sure you actually asked at a corporate store.

I agree with tidbits; seek out the Apple Store's classes if there is an Apple Store near you. I took two classes there and would recommend it to anyone that has questions about the iPhone and how to use it.

Edited to add: There were no fees for the classes when I took them. It's been over two years ago now, but I don't think that Apple has changed that policy.
