not charging properly??

My iphone4 isn't charging properly. When it is plugged into the wall charger, I am rarely getting a connection to charge the phone (it occassionally seems to work at odd angles). I have two different wall chargers from apple plugged into two different outlets so I don't think the charger itself is the issue.  I was having better luck with my car charger, but the past few days I have been getting error messages there too, so I no longer have any consistent way to charge the phone. Its not working when I plug it into the computer also, which also poses the problem of me not being able to back up my phone to my computer. Is there something I can do to fix this or do I need to give up and get a new phone? I have had the phone for almost two years so I don't think there is still an apple warranty applicable, but I do have the verizon insurance, would it be covered under that?

Thanks for providing us with the details to your charging concerns.

I appreciate  you taking the time to try alternate chargers as well. That would be one of the troubleshooting steps that we would have wanted you to try, edt127.

There may be an issue with the charging port and because  you have insurance, that gives you an extended warranty on the phone.

If there is no physical damage to the phone, we can replace it for you via Verizon. If there is damage to the device, you should have the insurance company http://bit.ly/07CrqPK replace it for you.
