iPhone 4 I cannot hear sound from receiver when making calls.

When I call my friends from my iPhone 4, I cannot hear the ring sound or their voice from the receiver. If I turn on the speaker I can hear everything, but unless I turn on the speaker I can't hear anything. Other sounds like keyboard sound and notification sound is ok, only making or receiving calls. Anybody having the same issue?

Im having the same issue....my phone is only 14 days old!! Also it has started..... it wont ring when a call comes in, it will intermittently vibrate but wont ring..(i checked setting sounds, etc)
