Lately I have people who call me talk about hear two beeps at random times during the discussions. Other calls are not coming in so it's not that notification and I have not installed any new apps lately. Any ideas on what this might be?

Sounds like a Federal wiretap to me. Those beeps are usually signals that the conversation is being recorded.
