Droid Razr Maxx Bluetooth Connection Issue

Phone does not auto connect or manually connect well with car

Have turned bluetooth on and off and tried manually connecting it. Success rate doing this is less than 10%

It will sometimes auto connect when I first start the car. Success Rate 50%

Car is a 2010 suburban

Issue was with gingerbread AND ICS.

Car connects fine with other phones

Phone has issues connecting RELIABLY with other bluetooth headsets as well. I have a cardo helmet intercom system too that has same behaviors.

I have re-paired the phone and car

I have not tried turning off cell data(this has been suggested). This should be unnecessary

How do I find the the current bluetooth driver version?

Are there new drivers for this phone for the bluetooth?

Where can I check for this?

I went to some android forums but no clear answers...I have seen this issue described for other cars as well.

Anybody have a fix for this?

Having issues also . . just started in past week. Contacts will not transfer to car (2012 Camaro). Can't find an answer any where . . may have to go to bricks and mortar store & hope they can help!

Hello wc_allen-

I just commented on the Razr forum on conviro's similar post. You said that you re-paired the phone. I'm wondering if you deleted the phone and started over. As I explained to conviro, I have a 2011 Mustang and had problems when my phone got ICS. It wasn't until I completely deleted the phone from the Ford Sync and re-entered it like it was a new phone. It has worked perfect since. Hopefully that will work for you.

ty I just replyed to the wrong person lol but i bet thats what i need to do i was thinking that but was afraid to do it because id never used that feature before and the day after I got to use it It stoped working but thank you so much now im going to try that since it worked for you :smileyhappy:
