replying to messages errors

I purchased an iPhone5 and transferred my old iPhone4 to my husband.  We can both receive text messages but I cannot get the new iPhone5 to reply to text messages when I select reply.  We have verified the settings on both phones are identical. Are there other areas we need to alter? Suggestions please?

Fill, replying is very important to the conversation so I want to make sure that is working for you. Are you receiving an error message or is the message showing a red X? Does this only happen when messaging your husband or other people as well? First, make sure that you and your husband are using different Apple ID's. If you didn't complete a hard reset on your old phone and he still has same data in that phone it may be a conflict because two phones have the same ID. If only happening with your husband, try deleting the message thread and start a new one.
