Contacts not receiving my texts reliably?

A number of my contacts, including my boyfriend, have not been receiving my texts reliably and I have not been getting theirs. Texts are being sent from me and they dont receive them, or they will text me and I never get them. Or a text I send wont show up till hours later. This is becoming a serious issue. How do I fix this?

I apologize you're having issues with not receiving nor getting your text messages! I'd like to assist you with your concerns. Are you using iMessage or a 3rd party app to send and receive your messages? Is this issue happening in one location or many? What's the zip code? Afterwards, test by sending a message and asking the party to reply back. Let me know if either or both of these suggestions help.
