Can you tell me what "Usage Cycle" means when I look at my data on-line

I understand the date, and the unlimited minutes....but what does the usage cycle mean. 

I just purchased the phone on 2/01, and already the line showing for my usuage is about 1/3 of the way before the end...and i still have 18 days before my cycle ends on 3/01.  I barely use my phone...so not sure what that means.

The usage cycle is your billing cycle. Even if you get a new phone in the middle of your cycle, your billing cycle remains the same.
