Last November , I purchased an IPHONE 5 for my daughter who had been using an IPHONE 4 for the previous 2 years. She does not have much access to WiFi so she is forced to be on the 4G network to utilize the Apps on her phone of which are primarily for her college courses.
With the i4, she never used more than 2.5 GB and averaged around 2 GB monthly. ( on the 3G network)
With the i5, the data usage has ballooned up to an avg of 5GB with a couple of months has high as 6.5GB.( now on the 4G network)
We have analyzed her actually usage of the phone and determined that she is not spending any more actual time on her i5 than she did with her i4 and she is closing out her programs diligently. .
I have brought this to the attention of Customer Service but have been given a variety of conflicting theories yet no concrete answers or more importantly...solutions ( other than" keep raising your data plan")
Any one else having this problem?
