Contacts cannot reply to my text messages

My husband and I both have iphone 5`s and I have no problem sending and receiving texts from any of our contacts, however he can only text me and a

daughter who has an iphone 4. I have tried everything on his phone. Checking to make sure all of his settings are identical to mine. Contacts say they are now receiving his texts but cannot reply to them. Does anyone have any solutions to this?

Hello taddpole1964,  Help has arrived!  Are the other users getting a specific error message when trying to reply to his texts?  Does he typically use iMessage on his device?  Are the other users Verizon Wireless customers?  I am eager to troubleshoot so we can get this resolved!
