Nope I just read it's not available for the droid phones.
The Motorola Droid can not be used as the Locatee Device; however, it can be used as the locator device.
I'm a little confused on the the difference between the Locatee and the Locator device.
How do I obtain the Family Locator feature code? And what costs/fees are associated with using this feature?
How could I get the details on this feature? When I contacted the customer service, the person I talked to did not know anything about it.
The Motorola Droid can be used as the locator device.
The Locatee device would be the device you want to track, the locate device would be the device you can track the locatee from. Click HERE for additional information on Family Locator. The family locator feature is $9.99 Monthly.
Family Locator permits ANY phone to be located by a Verizon Customer using any phone which visits fl.vzw.com or any PC which visits familylocator.vzw.com. This role is termed "LOCATOR".
Now there is a limitation for which Verizon Customers that you wish to locate. These customers must be on the same family share plan as the locator. Also, the individual to be located must be using one of the following phones: http://products.verizonwireless.com/index.aspx?id=fnd_familylocator_get. The individual who is located is termed "LOCATEE".
Hello paconna, we wanted to check with you and confirm that your Family Locator issues were resolved. If this has not been resolved, please reply to my message with your Verizon Wireless Number and the best time to contact you.
