Battery dies everyday!!!!!

I have the iphone 4s. everything is turned off including apps. I will charge it overnight and by about noon with minimal usage (maybe 10 times including texts and short calls) the battery dies!?!?! I have tried turning the phone off and have taken all the photos off of the phone. has anyone else had this issue and how in the world did you fix it? Thank you!

With all of the IOS updates since the beginning of the year, the best thing to do is a complete factory wipe of your device. Settings> General> Reset> Reset All Content and Settings

Oh my, aphaqh. That's not much battery life at all. That much of a drastic battery drain is not too widespread of an issue. It sounds like you're definitely taking some great steps towards improving your battery life. Apple also has some fantastic steps at http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html to help with battery life improvement. If all else fails, the reset EpJayhawks12 mentioned would be the last resort. It's a great way to give your phone a fresh start, but will mean resetting the phone back to factory default settings. So trying all the wonderful steps from Apple first would be a good start. Also check out some of the general troubleshooting at http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/ for steps up to and including restoring the iPhone.

I have done all of the above, and still while repeating my experiment found that my iPhone 4s' battery went from 100%-dead in 22 1/2 standby hours and 2 3/4 usage hours. All but around 15 minutes occurred over WiFi. In case that sounds like a lot, my phone should last "Up to 200 hours" on standby, "Up to 6 hours" on 3G, and "Up to 9 hours" on Wi-Fi. (Stats taken from http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare-iphones/) Now, I know that batteries decay over time, but this is extremely unsatisfactory. My wife's iPhone 4s is suffering the same fate.

I have had a similar situation--sometimes the battery will die 2 minutes after it shows 40% left!!! This has been the most frustrating situation ever! I went to the Verizon store, they said they could only replace the phone with the same model because I wasn't due for my upgrade until September. I received the "new" AKA REFURBISHED phone. After attempting to transfer all my info 15 times, I chatted with a Verizon rep online AND live on the phone. We still could not get the info to transfer (after another hour of trying) so he recommended I go to Apple. While I was talking to him, I checked my upgrade and it was no longer September 2013 but suddenly January 2014!!! I was informed that Verizon changed their policy (something I don't recall every hearing about!!) and the "New in Two" now cannot be put into effect where you get a phone upgrade as early as a year and a half into the contract with a $100 credit but instead must go the full two years and PAY an additional fee for an upgrade...so, after spending 2+ additional hours of my life at the Apple store I will never get back, they discovered the refurbished phone I received was defective!! I have been putting up with the constantly dying battery for months now and am definitely looking into switching to another service provider. I have had service with Verizon since it was Airtouch Cellular when I was 18 (a 24 year customer) and am thoroughly frustrated with the situation. Sending out used phones to put a band aid on the problem is completely unacceptable to me. Best of luck to you in getting the situation resolved!
